Political Cartoon

 

A cartoon from London's Punch magazine which shows Lincoln (as Brutus) being haunted by a black man (the Ghost of Caesar). It was widely believed by many white men that Lincoln was not only more concerned with the welfare of the slaves than that of white men, but that he was half-Negro as well.
